The Home Energy Assistance Program’s Summer Crisis Program will operate between July 1, 2015 and August 31, 2015 or until funds are exhausted. The program will operate Monday thru Friday beginning July 1st, but will be closed on Friday July 3rd. CAC will begin accepting appointments on June 24th and will also offer walk-in opportunities on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8:00 am and 11:00 am.
The Summer Crisis Program is designed to assist low-income households with a senior family member (60 or older) or a documented medical need for air conditioning. Each household could be eligible for up to $250.00 in payment assistance. Households that are enrolled in the Percentage of Income Payment Plan Plus (PIPP+) are not eligible to receive a payment on their electric bill, but may be eligible to receive an air conditioning unit, but cannot have received an A/C unit thru CAC for the previous 3 years. Households must also be living at or below 175% of the Federal Poverty Level. For a family of 4, that is roughly $3,536/month or $42,438 per year. For more information, call CAC at 330-297-1456 and press 0 for the receptionist, or visit us at 1036 West Main Street in Ravenna. To schedule an appointment after June 24th, call 330-297-1456 and choose Option #1. CAC is open Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. Comments are closed.
