Emergency HEAP (Winter Crisis) Begins on November 2nd

The HEAP Winter Crisis Program begins on November 2nd and will run until March 31, 2016.  Appointments must be scheduled by calling CAC at 330-297-1456 and selecting Option 1.  This is a 24 hour automated appointment line.  Appointments are scheduled up to 3 weeks in advance. 

We are also offering walk-in locations each day of the week throughout the county.  The schedule is as follows:

• CAC Main office (1036 W. Main St., Ravenna): Tuesdays and Thursdays:  Doors open at 8 am and we will see the first 24 household or until 11 am, whichever comes first.
• Nelson/Garrettsville Food Cupboard (10661 Highland Ave., Garrettsville): 1st Wednesday of each month;  9am until 11am or the first 7 household, whichever comes first.
• Kent Free Library (312 W. Main St., Kent): Every Monday; 9am until 11 am or the first 7 households, whichever comes first.
• Portage County Senior Center (705 Oakwood St., Ravenna): Wednesday (except for the 1st Wednesday of each month); 9am until 11 am or the first 7 households, whichever comes first.
• Atwater Town Hall (1219 SR 183, Atwater): the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month; 9am until 11 am or the first 7 households, whichever comes first.
• Windham Renaissance Family Center (9005 Wilverne Dr., Windham): Every Friday;  9am until 11 am or the first 14 households, whichever comes first.
