About CAC's 21st Century Community Learning Center Program
The 21st Century Community Learning Center program is an Ohio Department of Education grant funded after school program. This program serves Ravenna School District and Windham Exepmted Village School District students in grades six through twelve. The grant is held and administered by the Community Action Council of Portage County, a non-profit social service agency serving Portage and Trumbull Counties.

Students receive math and reading remediation and enhancement through the use of online programs. In addition, students are provided with STEM enhancement (STEAMM) which includes activities and investigation in science, technology, engineering, art, math and medical areas designed to enhance student interest and learning. Students are provided with health and physical movement opportunities and the chance to explore community resources.
A focus on youth development and college and career readiness with opportunities to work with organizations and member of the local, state and national organizations as well as the community are provided to build and advance students skills and interests. Partnerships and collaborations are continually being developed to help provide students and parents with preparation for post-secondary education and information for employment fields in the 21st Century.
